#003 - Venusaur

venusaur preparing a solarbeam!

oh venusaur...I kinda thought he was creepy, just because I'm not sure what he is.
a frog/toad? a cat?
and also from pokemon stadium, when you sent out a venusaur it'd do this strange dance  and it's eyes would get all red and
well here's a video from pokemon battle revolution which is even scarier!

and
obligatory pot reference drawing here

I don't remember when or why I drew this but it's funny

oh also ALSO if you guys have any requests just leave a comment and I'll incorporate what you want when that pokemon's number comes up!

#001 - Bulbasaur

bulbasaur's a cute fellow isn't he?
very cute, a great starter pokemon too.
I'm glad I never had to choose between the 3 starters, because in yellow you eventually got all of them haha!

When I think of bulbasaur, I am reminded of this game..
have you ever played this game?
basically you get a mic and tell pikachu what to do.
one of the minigames was making soup with bulbasaur
sounds fun right?

except pikachu NEVER LISTENS TO YOU.
microphones were so primitive back then, that when you told pikachu to do something there was like...a 75 percent chance of him doing something completely different.
I never finished this game. I don't think I even got past the first level.
and this is why.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. THIS HAPPENED TO ME.

Pokemon #...

 #???: Eggs

First implemented in generation 2, pokemon eggs and breeding them are a big part of the pokemon world. Most people breed pokemon for potential shinyness, perfect IVs, or egg moves, or even just to get baby pokemon for their pokedex.

I breed for pokemon shinyness, using the masuda method - instead of a 1/8000 odds of a pokemon being a shiny, if you have 2 pokemon from different game cart regions (say, a pikachu from US and a pikachu from Japan), then the odds of shinyness decrease to 1/~1500, I think.

Here is a shiny venipede I hatched using the masuda method :)

Aren't eggs fun? Especially when you don't know what's inside...wonder what I'll get this time...
(oh c'mon now don't give me that look of "that's not a real pokemon", eggs are an important if not essential part of the games...)

Hi! Welcome to my blog.
I'm going to draw all of the pokemon. Yes, all 600+ of them. Why? Because I love pokemon! I have been playing the games since first gen, know all of the names, you know the drill.
I'll try to update often! I aim for every other day, or maybe every other other day, but at least twice a week for sure. Hope you enjoy!
